The communication with Alessandra & Marco was very timely and they are super friendly and helpful. Alessandra arranged for a private driver to pick us up at the airport right outside of baggage claim. The driver held a sign with our names on it. Alessandra & Marco's assistant, Monica, met my daughter and myself and showed us the apartment. She was very professional and dressed nice and neat. The entrance to the apartment building is nice and wide with very clean with big windows. The hallway upon entering was free from clutter and tidy too. The apartment itself is very welcoming with a nicely decorated hallway with bright lights. It is obvious the apartment is well cared for and the linens are very comfortable and fresh. There was a big bowl filled with an assortment of fresh fruits and a dish filled with candy waiting for us on the kitchen bar top. We drank the tap water and it tastes very good. The water pressure as well as the water temperature is wonderful for a rejuvenating shower. The air conditioning is very good too, nice and cool. That was super important to my daughter and myself. Our hosts checked in with us several times during our stay (via text messages) to ensure we had everything we needed during our stay. They also arranged for a private driver to take us back to the airport when we departed. They also had suggestions for eateries with price ranges as well as points of interest. Our overall experience was positive and both my daughter and myself would recommend others to stay in this apartment home.

Our host was very positive and informative. He sent us a lot of information before our trip and it helped us a lot! This helped us for example to be able to pick up a taxi from airport with correct fixed price! The apartment was exactly as described and there were even a plate of complimentary fruits and soft drinks for us! Location is very good!

Great location - down the street from Vatican City. Nice little cafes along the street for breakfast, little markets to pick up groceries. Nice to have the 2 large bedrooms - each with a bathroom. Cute galley kitchen. Bottle of wine and fruit to greet us. If you see a gray, long haired cat out front - her name is Misha and she belongs to everyone

The old real estate adage is "location, location, location ..." -- as a tourist, you cannot have much better location that this. For example, it took us less than 15 minutes to walk to St Peter's Square, or less than a half an hour to the centre of Trastevere. The apartment was well maintained. It was very suitable for us (two couples in their sixties). The (ultra quiet) air conditioners were very useful in the uncomfortably hot July weather. There is no living room, as such, but this is only an issue for someone, who wants to spend a lot of time at home (not us). Similarly, the TVs in the bedrooms have tiny screens -- again, it was not an issue for us (except for the EU Cup final

Nice, spacious rooms for the 3 of us to stay in Rome. Not much of a view as the apartment is on the half-basement floor below ground level. We were warmly received by Monica, who showed us around the apartment, and left us with fresh fruit and drinks that we couldn't even finish during our short stay! The location is a bit out of the way – yes it's close-ish to St. Peter's Basilica but you still have to walk across the plaza to get to the entrance. There are a few restaurants and souvenir shops near the flat, but generally it seemed to be a quieter part of town. Marco was really kind and accommodating, and allowed us to leave our luggage with him after check out so we could take in more sights before leaving. We really appreciate his flexibility and kindness. Thanks so much!

Marco is a very good host. He arranged someone to wait for us at the apartment when we arrived. He also put a bottle of wine, juice, and a plate full of fruits for us in the apartment; and a local cell phone with his number in case we need to call him. Wow! Communication with him before arrival was also very good. The apartment is very clean and at a good location- short walk to St Peter Square, metro station, and restaurants. We had reserved a taxi to airport at 6:30am for the flight home. He said if there is any problem with the taxi, we can call him for help even if it is very early in the morning. I highly recommend staying in his place if you are traveling to Rome.

Thank you Marco and family for a wonderful stay at your beautiful apartment. Your hospitality, kindness and helpfulness even before our arrival date goes without saying what wonderful hosts you are. Also thank you for the delicious fruit basket, wine and juices. Also, the cell phone including some important contacts program even though we didn't need to use it shows how thoughtful and caring your are. The apartment is in a ideal location tuck away from the busy streets near St Peter's square. Many thanks again!

My family and I loved staying at this Airbnb location. It is super close to the St. Peter Plaza (about a 3-5 minute walk)! The apartment has very spacious rooms and bathrooms and a nice kitchen area. Everything was clean and organized and they even greeted us with some wine and fruit. Marco was very responsive via text or phone. We would definitely stay here again and we definitely recommend it for others staying in Rome.

One of the best places we've stayed during in Europe and definitely the best hospitality experienced so far. Weeks before I was sent a guide to get about in Rome including a handy restaurant guide which was very helpful. Marco greeted us warmly as we checked in and showed around. We were complimented with a bottle of wine, drinks and cake. He gave a mobile phone for use during our holiday too. Apartment was a very clean well equipped cozy place. Its within easy walking distance to Vatican and 10 mts bus ride to most attractions in ancient Rome. There are plenty of restaurants and shops outside. Overall a great place hosted by great people who know how to do the job!!

I literally cannot complain about anything. The accommodation was fantastic!!!! Very warm and has all amenities, the listing is true to its description and it was very centrally located, getting around was very easy and most places of interest were within walking distance. Also we had a very warm welcome including a mobile phone with an italian sim should we need anything, which was fantastic! A very big thank you goes out to Alessandra, Marco and Monica and I strongly recommend this apartment!

We have picked this place as we were impressed by the reviewed posted. I must say the location was perfect for us. 200 m to the Vatican, close to bus stop for bus 64 that could take us almost everywhere. Metro (train) is easily reached as well. We ended up using the metro towards the end of our trip after crowded buses. Shops are close by as well, eg supermarket, bakery, pizzeria, etc. our host, Marco was very nice to walk through a lot of things and answered many of our questions. He also gave us all local mobile phone to use free of charge. Thank you very much for making our family holiday an enjoyable one.

The description of the location was spot on. The host was amazing. We were welcomed with a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine! A cell phone with the host's contact numbers and all emergency numbers was also provided.

Had an amazing time here, it was our first Airbnb experience, the place was so clean and close to St. Peter's and the Vatican Museum, also the metro to get into the city was only a 15 minute walk. Marco was so helpful in setting up car services from the airport to his apartment, as well as transfers to our port for the cruise, this really was so beneficial. Also the apartment was stocked with wine, fruit , juice after a long flight this was most appreciated. Would recommend to other friends, nice to have two bedrooms with two baths. The flush was a little difficult to operate but once we figured it out we were good to go. Helped to have wifi as well as a laundry. Marco even left a cell phone to use while staying, this was so helpful! Thanks for a terrific Rome experience Also there is an amazing Italian restaurant just down the corner, the food and wine were fabulous !

This place had what we needed for our stay and got the job done for our 5 day/4 night trip. The only things that we didn't like were: 1. How damp the apartment was. It's on a terrace level with no dehumidifiers so our towels and sheets stayed pretty damp unless we had the AC going. However, I am not sure if this is customary for other countries (we are American). 2. There was no living room. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small high top seating area. We really wanted to just kick back and relax after a long day of walking around and could only do this in our bedrooms. Again, not sure if this is customary for city life or not. Overall, the host was great and very accommodating. We got really lost when we first got there and they sat around for awhile waiting on us which was nice! We also called several times for information and they were very helpful :)

This was the most incredible apartment we have stayed in in our airbnb experience. Monica was waiting on us at the door and explained everything! We were in an amazing locations! Three of us stayed here for three nights in September and it was perfect! The apartment was spacious, perfect for three or four people with two bathrooms and large bedrooms. It was so well supplied with everything you might need and more. Great for a longer stay with kitchen and washing machine. Great location, so close to St Peter's with lots of good, local cafes nearby. The area felt less touristy than around the other tourist attractions. Marco was a fantastic host, so helpful and responsive. He was so thoughtful, leaving us drinks, fruit, a map, an Italian mobile phone, guidebooks and allowing us to check out later. He really went above and beyond. He also organised a transfer for our friend from the airport and was really helpful when her flight was delayed. Thank you! Tips: Check the Vatican museum opening hours and events online before you go to Rome as they seem to change and it's best to book online. We did the Romes Ultimate free walking tour and it was fantastic.

Alessandra and Marco's apartment is BEAUTIFUL - the perfect complement to our time in Rome. They were also perfect hosts - even left us a beautiful fruit basket with Wine, Soda, and Juice. We had early mornings and late nights, so without being in the apartment very much except to sleep, we didn't have an opportunity to finish the items before leaving, although it was very much appreciated! The apartment is perfectly situated to everything you want to do in Rome - it is steps from the Vatican, and very easy to walk to other sights or take a taxi. We had no issues navigating Rome - the apartment was better situated than most hotels! I fell in love with Rome, so when I visit again, I would absolutely consider staying with Alessandra and Marco again. They were so helpful, and made our stay in Rome one to remember!

Marco and Monica have been wonderful for our trip in Rome! They were very well organised and thoughtful to their guests. Before arrival, we were provided with details of getting to the apartment, information on local restaurants and maps. On the day of arrival, Monica showed us the apartment and everything we needed for our stay. Marco was always contactable via phone. The apartment itself was 5 minutes walk from St Peter's square, and there were quite a few excellent local restaurants along the road for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was a subway and train station within walking distance. The neighbourhood was quiet during night which was perfect for a good night sleep after a day of sightseeing. We rented a car during our last day to drive up to Tuscany and there was plenty of parking spaces along the main road. Overall, great location for the apartment, great hosts and we had a wonderful time in Rome! Definitely recommended to anyone visiting Rome!

Very nice apartment in a quiet street. The apartment was clean and very comfortable and has all the amenities needed by a family. We travelled with our two children and we were all very comfortable. Our host was excellent, good communication and help was given to make the most of our stay. Accommodation was as described, great for a family as normally the kids would have to share a cramped hotel room for the same, if not more expensive price. Enjoyed walking back through St Peter's square every day and night to get back to the quiet apartment.

Marco is the most thoughtful host during my whole trip in Europe via airbnb. Before my arrival, I asked lots of question and then got Marco's respond very quickly and comprehensive every time. When we came to his apartment, Marco was not there but his friend(Monica) kindly welcomed us and showed everything in the room. I was very impressed with several matters immediately : 1) a map of Rome city 2) a local mobile for us to use with free 3) provided two adaptors 4) enough toilet papers and bed linens in two rooms 5) the room is very clean . When we explored the neighbor, we find it's a quite convenient and safe place. Bus stop is just minutes to go, while lots of grocery are located around. Marc also provided detailed info on how to get to airport and other sites. When we checked out, Monica kindly came to pick up us to airport. overall, our Rome trip is definitely pleasant largely due to Marc's nice accommodation. Highly recommend it and we should stay again if visiting Rome next time.

Alessandra and Marco were wonderful hosts!! We drove into the area and they were kindly able to secure a parking space for us with no hassle. The apartment was ideal for us, a family of 4, as it had absolutely everything we needed. The bottle of wine left for us was a lovely hospitable welcome gift! The location was absolutely perfect. Away from the super busy streets of Rome, yet still very close to everything. The Vatican was a very short walk, and city center of Rome was still only a short walk. Amazingly, we somehow left with one of the spare keys to the apartment. But when we asked about how to send it back after leaving, Marco was unconcerned and suggested that now we have a key for next time! This was very kind, given that it was our mistake, and I absolutely plan to stay with them next time I am in Rome. I highly recommend!!

Myself and three of my girl-friends stayed here end April/beginning May 2015 for 4 nights. Marco or Alessandra could not meet us, but they had a friend meet us to show us the apartment and give us the keys. Monica was very helpful and friendly and gave us all the information she could. The apartment is spotlessly clean with two very spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds- both bedrooms are ensuite. The ensuites were also very large and had fantastic showers. Loads of towels provided for our use. The kitchen area is small but has everything you could need and for us, we only ate breakfast there so it was perfect. The only thing missing here is a relaxing seated area, but we spent so little time in the apartment, it did not matter. There is a washing machine if you want to use it and there is a laundrette 5 mins walk away if you want to get clothes dried. The WiFi is excellent, but be sure to read the password carefully - I did not and had to contact Marco to confirm it. Totally my fault, but he was very patient! The location of the apartment is superb if you want quiet at night time - it was so peaceful, nothing to disturb sleep. Quiet building, quiet street, quiet area. We loved that, but if you want to be in the middle of the buzz of Roma at night, you might want to consider a different location. However, it's so easy get taxis and they are not expensive. Supermarket about 5 mins walk and other small shops closer if you want. Less than 10 mins walk to St Peter's Square. We had a late flight home but our hosts accomodated us by allowing us to leave our bags at the apartment until evening. Monica so kindly offered to do taxi and bring us back to the airport on our departure day and was at the apartment with our bags ready when we got there. All in all, a great place to stay and I would recommend it highly

What a fantastic apartment! Clean, quiet and yet so close to the Vatican. The apartment comes stocked with everything you need with restaurants and supermarkets just around the corner..The apartment is also within easy walking distance of Ottaviano train station. This is the perfect apartment to explore Rome from. Marco and Monica were extremely helpful and were always a phone call away if we ever needed information or help. I needed some boarding passes printed out for the local fast trains and Marco had them for me in a jiffy (Lightning fast). Great host, great apartment.

We arrived in Rome with two young children, after a long haul flight from Australia. Marco was extremely generous in allowing us to check in very early in the morning - which we greatly appreciated. Monica came to meet us at the unit upon our arrival right on time. She showed us the apartment and gave us some useful information. The apartment was lovely - the 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms were really great! Overall it was very convenient and comfortable. The location was off of a main street but access from the back of the building which was great as it was more private and quiet. Also, only a 5 minute walk to the Vatican from there down the main street which had some lovely places to eat, shops and even some very delicious gelato!!! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place and host!

Marco was extremely helpful in providing answers to the many questions we had prior to our trip for directions to get to places and local tips (especially for our wedding appointments). The place is perfectly located near Saint Peter's Basilica, which was not only a spectacular place to visit but served as a great landmark for us to journey our way back to at the end of a long day. Plenty of public transport options and Bus 64 quickly becomes your best friend to get into the heart of Rome and back and it's last stop is at Roma Termini train station, which was super convenient for our departure on to Florence. The bus service runs quite regularly and well into the evening. The apartment it self is great, very clean, excellent for 2 couples or a family of 4. We would definitely recommend considering this for your trip to Rome.

Marco have been nice from day one. His advance on the local ground information is very helpful to us. This allow us to preplan and managed to make the most out of our limited time in Rome and even leave us some time to visit Pisa. We book advance tickets for the Vatican Museum and Colosseum and we need not wait in the queue which was very nice considering the hot sun in summer. We arrive late in Rome and was well received by Monica, Marco's friend. she is very nice and try her best to explain everything despite her limitation in her English. but Marco gave good support if you need anything via Whatsapp which is nice and very helpful. Monica even help us to arrange for her husband to fetch us to the airport at 5am in the morning on the day we leave for London. A very plus plus and much appreciated. A big thnak you. The apartment is at the basement with two large airconditioned rooms which is a plus plus during the hot summer. It is clean and well stocks with the necessary towels and ammenities. Also it have loads of Rome travel information and just minutes walk to the Vatican. No issue with that. If you have any issue, just message Marco and he is ever raedy to help with some good tips. The kitchen and dining room is a bit small and narrow but serve the purpose if you just wish to cook simple breakfast. The only regret is we did not get a chance to meet Marco. After months of advise from him, I feel like I know him and consider him to be my friend rather than as my host. I just wish to thank him personally but unfortunately he was away for business. All in all, this is truely a nice place and within walking distance to a large supermarket and nice Pizza stores nearby. We will certainly plan to come back there in the near future. Thank you so much again.

Grazie mille Marco & Alessandra Ciao

This was a perfect place to stay for our vacation to Rome! Marco and Alessandra were wonderful hosts. They were really quick with correspondence and extremely friendly and helpful. Their friend who met me to give keys and directions was prompt and informative. The apartment was clean and beautifully furnished and decorated. This place exceeded my expecations. I would stay in this place again for my next trip to Rome. Highly recommend! Here are a few highlights: Positives: great access to public transportation (64 bus is very central to most tourist sites), close to the Vatican, cafes, restuarants, and souvenir shops Negative: no central sitting space (consists of two bedrooms and a kitchen) - though we spent most of our time out in the city anyway!

The apartment was exactly as described. Very convenient location to the vatican (literally a couple blocks away). The superb location, clean apartment and yes access to the washer. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms and kitchen both looked recently updated. It was very easy to check in, Monica was waiting as we arrived and easy to check out. Transportation hubs are close as well. The fresh fruit at arrival was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend to anyone which has the vatican as part of your Rome itinerary. Many restaurants very close that are really good, grocery shopping, morning rolls, coffee are are all close as well.

We did not meet Marco or Alessandra, but had a quick check in by Monica, who was very pleasant. Her English was limited, but the apartment was well appointed and easy to navigate. We had all we needed, and everything was very clean. The apartment was unusual in that it was like two hotel rooms connected by a corridor with a small dining area and a great galley kitchen. We gathered at the table for meals, but some may miss the lack of a typical living room. The location was unbeatable for access to the basilica; and the museum was about a 15 min walk. The apartment was quiet, and the A/C worked well. Overall a nice stay with simple, clean accommodations.

Wow - Im quite an experienced user of Airbnb and this property was far
and away the best experience to date. The communication before arrival
was perfect. Marco arranged to meet us at the apartment when we first
arrived in Rome. The directions were very clear. There was a wonderful
welcome basket of fruit, juice, milk and chocolate. The beds were
extremely comfortable and with the flat being in the basement it was
very quiet, (We overslept both mornings). The bathrooms were immaculate
and there was good water pressure from the shower. The apartment is in a
great location close to the 64 bus route which goes across central
Rome. (Just €1.50 per trip), and five minutes walk from St Peter's
Square. There's plenty of places to eat and grab a coffee.
We were only in Rome for two nights but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay
there.
As a footnote, we were ripped off by a local taxi driver on our journey
to the apartment and Marco has since offered us a free night against
our next stay there as a refund for the terrible taxi experience. We
hope to return soon to take up the offer.

The apartment is on the the ground floor of a building located in a cul-de-sac. Hence, it remained cool even during the hot three summer days we spent there. It has two spacious air conditioned rooms with attached baths which comfortably hosted our family of five - Marco had kindly provided an Air mattress for my daughter. It is aesthetically decorated and with a modern and well stocked kitchen. The wifi was fast and stable. The location of the apartment is the best - 10 minutes walk from the Vatican / 10 min from bus stop to take bus 64 / a careffour at 5 min / smaller departmental stores closer / and some very tasty restaurants all within walking distance. Finally - the personal touch by Marco - arranged parking in front of the building, which was a massive weight of my mind. The fruits and the bottle of wine when we arrived was very welcoming. . . . . Thank you Marco for making our stay extremely comfortable and memorable in Rome.

had many good places to eat and relax. There is a bus (64?) that goes

corner.
The rooms were spacious, each has its own bathroom. The apartment stays
delightfully cool during the summer. Check in/check out was quick and
easy. I felt that the host was very accommodating and responsive to
questions. I would definitely stay here again!

A positive approach by Marco who went out of his way to help us in every way starting from phone calls a few days earlier to ensure that we had correct information. Communication was clear and concise and we had a positive and welcoming experience. A bowl of fresh and appealing fruit, bottle of wine, soft drink and a bar of chocolate made a positive start to our day. The apartment was top quality with fully fitted and extremely well maintained equipment. Crisp, fresh well coordinated linen in bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The apartment was immaculate and would highly recommend this venue. A credit to Marco and his family.

Also there are fruit juice, pepsi, yogurt and eggs in the fridge for us.
How sweet!

We had a fantastic stay in Rome. The little pastericcia around the corner from the apartment on via delle fornacci was a great place to start the day. Fortifying coffee and pastries before jumping on the 64 bus to head into the old town. The apartment has everything that we needed and Marco was a very kind host.. Air conditioning was a blessing after a long day of sight seeing! Thanks Marco ... We will definitely return!

Rome was our first stop in Italy and staying at Alessandra's and Marco's
has been such a blessing for us. The location is where we want to be -
near the Vatican! And just along the street we can fine restaurants,
little shops, gelato... Marco was very helpful. He showed us where we
were in the map, gave us directions to places and was very responsive to
our needs. We arrived very early in the morning and they have no
problems receiving us! Really wonderful. And Nice Place had everything
we needed to feel at home!

My friends and I had a wonderful time in the apartment. It was extremely
clean, spacious and well-equipped. Would definitely stay here again if i
were to pass by Rome again. Excellent location and communication with
the host as well, this is certainly a must-stay!

Alessandra's husband, Marco, met us at the apartment when we arrived by taxi from Roma Termini. We could have walked from the Roma St. Pietro station had we arrive there. His welcome was gracious and enthusiastic and included a "welcome basket" of fruit, crackers and wine! But even more appreciated was the detailed orientation he gave us to the apartment and the city, as this was our first time in Rome. He gave us maps with key locations and bus routes, shared tourist books, and gave us multiple contact phone numbers for use if needed. They seemed to have thought of everything we might need as visitors to the city and took the time to help us get situated. The apartment itself was on the ground floor of a 5 story residential building facing a parking alley with no road noise at all. It was clean and decorated with a real flair (as indicated in the photos). It had a luxurious feel due to the spacious bedrooms, each with a separate full bath (with showers). The full kitchen was well-stocked and colorful. There was a small eating area but no living room. A washing machine was also in the kitchen and available with detergent; a drying rack provided (so we were able to do our accumulated laundry easily). Wi-Fi was provided. The neighborhood was safe and "up scale" with a restaurant, pastry shop, and small market right next door. There were many more shops, a couple other restaurants, a full grocery store, and a taxi stand within 5 minutes. The Vatican and Saint Peters were within 10 minutes walk north up the main road and many buses connected there. The "64" route from the Vatican to Roma Termini looped past our building every 10 minutes or so. Another bus left the Vatican for the Coliseum. We spent 4 nights here and felt very much at home. It was a great place to come back to at the end of some long days seeing the sights. It was both luxurious and conveniently located. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Nice apartment. Very clean, 2 spacious bedrooms each with a large
bathroom and nicely decorated apartment.
We enjoyed the neighborhood with lots of small shops and restaurants.
The Vatican is an easy 10 minute walk along the main street. It wasn't
too hard to get to Central Rome, the bus stop is also about 5-10 minute
walk. You can get to the Coliseum in about 15 minutes on a bus. Once
you know which buses to take, it was rather easy to travel to/from the
apartment.
I definitely recommend this apartment and the hosts, who were very
helpful and left everything we needed to enjoy our time in Rome.

It was great staying at Rome Marco’s Apartment. It was very clean and
two ensuite room. To Vatican from apartment, it just takes 5 minute if
you walk fast. Even if slow walk, 10 minutes would be enough. This
apartment has good location and well equipped kitchen, high speed
internet. Marco was very kind to give me various information, and quick
response my asking questions. He is very gentleman and his family has
warm heart. I came with long wagon to his apartments and to secure my
parking place, he came earlier with his car and waited for me.
Once again I am really appreciating your arrangement. If one of my
friend or family plan to visit Rome, I will tell them without one second
hesitation, this apartment is right and best place to staying at Rome.
My 4days staying at Rome was wonderful because very comfortable staying
and Marco’s information.

Very comfortable, elegant, clean and functional apartment in a quiet location less than 5 mins from Saint Peter's. All communications were quick, accurate and helpful throughout with Marco, Luigi and Stephania making sure we had a great break as best they could. Would recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

capolavori. I proprietari sono stati cordialissimi e molto disponibili.
Ci hanno fatto trovare all'arrivo, quale gesto di benvenuto, biscotti,
cioccolata e bibite.
Veramente ottima soluzione, torneremo sicuramente! I miei più cari
saluti ad Alessandra e Marco.

Great apartment. Everything we needed was there to make our stay wonderful. Perfect location if you're visiting Vatican City and Trastevere. Great hosts, they waited for us even though our flight was a little late and had all basic things needed, some fresh fruit, soft drinks, and everything was very clean and need. The apartment is dowstairs, although the views are not the ones on the pictures, it really has good natural light, and the interior was just exactly as it seems in the photos. With wifi connection available, TV in all rooms, everything perfect.

We had an amazing experience with Air BNB at this beautiful 2 bedroom
apartment in Rome in walking distance to the Vatican. Marco was a great
host and very, very helpful. The apartment had a entry door with a key
and then walked down to the apartment. No being at all familiar with
Rome, I think we were staying in a somewhat residential area as there
were apartments nearby. We flew to Rome to meet our son who is living
overseas. We had two bedrooms for three people with our own bathrooms.
The bed in the Master bedroom was comfortable and clean. The other
room had two twin beds. In each bathroom there was a hair dryer which
was so nice as not having to worry about converting electricity. Also
the kitchen came in very handy. We ate some of our meals in the
apartment and we walked to Carrefour a few blocks away for groceries.
Ate at two really nice restaurants around the corner. Conveniently
located to take the 64 bus and there were taxis available down the
street if needed. Marco was very hospitable and available to help.

This 2 bedroom apartment very near the Vatican was great. Comfortable beds, great water pressure in the showers, clean and homey, it was a great first experience for me here on Airbnb. The washer was a much needed ammenity and all appliances in the kitchen were useful and standard size! A nice change to some places in Europe I know. Being greeted also with a bowl of fruit and some snacks was very welcome - thank you big time to the host Marco!

In our two week trip, this apartment definitely had the most comfortable beds! The apartment was ideal. It was clean and modern (we cooked and did a couple loads of wash even) and in a great location. Not only was it close to St. Peter's, and close to a Gluten free grocery (which two of our group require), it was also close to the 64 bus line, which was used numerous times on our trip! Stefania and Marco were wonderful hosts, showing us the apartment, and giving their phone numbers to be available to help if we had problems during our stay. They also left a a wonderful basket of goodies-fruit, chocolate and even a bottle of wine! Rome was exhausting and wonderful, and this apartment was ideal, offering us quiet and comfort after our long days exploring the city. Thank you!!

We can certainly recommend this nice apartment to everyone! We stayed there for 9 days in late march 2012, only several minutes walk from the Vatican, but in a quiet, private street with no street noise. Two large twin-bed bedrooms with two very good toilets/bidets and two excellent showers. Air conditioning in both bedrooms. Large closets. Good kitchen with refrigerator/freezer and an automatic washing machine. Very effective central heating and easy to control the temperature of the abundant hot water. Internet access through a private router in the apartment. A lot of other things, that are good to have around, when you need them (iron/ironing board, four umbrellas, etc.). Several nice restaurants, bars and small grocery shops around the corner. Within easy walking distance from central Rome, the old district of Trastevere and major sightseeing splendours. And last, but not least, very welcoming, generous hosts, within easy reach and always prepared to help and explain. Una Thora and Hordur, Iceland

Myself and three friends stayed here in March of 2012. We had a great experience and Marco was always available to all our emails and phone calls. His service above and beyond! We even got locked out of the apartment one day and he came to the rescue. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, two big bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, wi-fi. We found the location to be a perfect fit. A 5min walk to Vatican City. A 15min walk to Piazza Novana, Campo de Fiori or the Pantheon. A great pizza spot around the corner and the market a few blocks away. Everything was at our reach. If you want to go further into the city, the metro station is about a 15min walk to the Ottaviano Station. You can take the A line two stops down to the Spagna station and visit the Spanish Steps. I also want to say that I felt safe in our apartment which is a big deal for me. I would stay here again and recommend it to any of my friends. Thank you Marco!!

We really enjoy our days in Rome thanks to this great apartment and Marco. The apartment is prefectly located, clean and full furnished. TVs, wifi and 2 bathrooms makes this apartment a great choice. We have no doubt to select again in case of visiting Rome. Marco is a great host, he gave us several advices to enjoy the city and restaurants to taste the original Italian food. The neighborhood is really safe and so close to Vatican city, less than 15 minutes walking. We definitely recommend this place and his host Marco!

Our stay confirmed all the good reviews. The appartment is very comfortable, two big rooms, two bathrooms, TV and a lot of room for our stuff. Internet works perfectly. Marco is a great host. He answered all messages promptly. His friend Luiggi was waiting for us in the appartment and he helped us with luggage and was very kind. There was also fruits, juice, coffe, pastries for us to have breakfast. There is also a first aid kit that was really helpful. There is a supermarket two blocks from the appartment. I really loved this place and will stay there again whenever I visit Rome. I highly recommend it.

The apartment is very good and the owner very kind and helpful. The location is perfect, so near of the Vatican City. When we were going to the place, the snow was very heavy and Marco was there waiting to greet us with a umbrella for my wife. I am very thankful for this simple polite act. There's some restaurants around, and a supermarket as well. Good place for a visit to Rome.

We had an absolutely fantastic time in Rome. On our arrival, our host Marco was there to greet us, and to give us the information we needed to get around highlighting on a map (he provided for us) the main monuments and sights. He had a beautiful fruit basket and snacks there for us on the dining area! The apartment was wonderful. Very nicely furnished, very comfortable and very, very clean. Internet was a life saver as well! The location of the apartment was everything we were looking for, and the abundance of restaurants, shops, groceries, were literally right outside our door. The proximity to St. Peters was no more than 1000 yards. In fact I had coffee and a pastry every day in the same place which looked directly at St. Peter's! Absolutely perfect in every way, with nothing lacking for my wife, my son and me. On top of everything, when we were in Orvieto dropping our son off for his semester abroad, we had some issues with train schedules and taxis back to the apartment for our final night in Rome. Marco was immediately available, came to our rescue, and saw that we got back to Rome without a problem. The next morning he took us personally to the airport very early in the morning. This kind of service went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND what was expected but was so very much appreciated. American Hotels could learn a few things about hospitality from this wonderful Italian host! We will return in April and hope to be able to stay once again in our new found apartment with our newly found friend!

This apartment was lovely in all aspects. We had some delays getting to the location, but Marco was patient and kept in touch with us until we arrived. It was truly 5 minutes from St. Peter basilica. Upon arriving, we were happy to see that the apartment actually did look like the photos, and happy that it was clean. Marco was very pleasant to work with. There also was a lovely gift basket waiting for us. There was also more than enough supply of cups, plates, etc in the kitchen. Also - they had one thing other places we went didn't have - a first aid kit. Sounds silly, but not so when I cut myself and didn't have anything of my own! Just a small note - it seems the apartment is somewhat below ground, so it gets cold. Overall, I do recommend this apartment!

The apartment is excellently located, 5 min walk from St.Peters Basillica. Apartment is decorated in a very modern warm Roman style and was superb in every way. The host was very welcoming and had a wonderful basket of fruit, wine and a cake. Local calls were free and wi-fi included. This place met my girlfriend's and my high expectations. We definitely recommend this place.

We had a fantastic 6-night stay at Marco's apartment in Rome with my wife and her parents. We arrived by car late on a Sunday night and Marco was there waiting for us in the cold, ready to welcome us, show us around his beautiful apartment and make sure we settled in OK. In the kitchen was a fantastic selection of fruits, Pandoro, wine and soft drinks complements of our host. We met Marco's wife and daughter and they all made us feel very welcome in a city that was new to us all. The apartment is beautiful - it's newly renovated with very comfortable beds, and a kitchen complete with all the utensils, appliances, pots and pans that you'd ever need. Even a microwave oven was provided, which is a rarity for Europe! The apartment has a phone with local and national calls for free, and Marco was just a call away if we ever needed anything. Marco takes great pride in the apartment with custom stationary in the rooms, Rome maps, guides and everything you need to enjoy the city. Just as the description states, the apartment is a stone's throw from St Peter's Square - go out of the apartment, turn left and you can see the columns! One of the best features is that the apartment is on a private street, so there is absolutely NO noise. You can stay in the middle of Rome and have perfect silence at night. We had a car with us (crazy idea for Rome, but anyway), and Marco arranged a key for the gate on his private street so that we could avoid street parking. If you've ever spent much time in Rome, you'll know how valuable a private parking space is! The only thing missing is a family / living room, but there's a very functional counter-style dining area adjoining the kitchen that comfortably seats four which worked well for the few meals we actually ate at home, and when in Rome, there's so much to do that lounging around at home is just not an option! A million thanks to Marco and his family for a wonderful stay - it couldn't have been better. We'll be back, and will be bringing our family again.

This is a WONDERFUL apartment, with SPECTACULAR hosts! The apartment is on the basement level of a large apartment building newly refurbished inside and VERY nicely done. It comfortably sleeps four in the two beautifully decorated bedrooms each with a bathroom en suite. Other reviewers are correct that there is no 'living room' per se, but there is a breakfast nook with a table and four chairs. We didn't mind the lack of a living room, and I think it was a wise choice when the apartment was renovated to make two bedrooms vice a bedroom and a living room. The kitchen is also new and has everything you could need, including a washing machine. As other reviewers have mentioned we were greeted with wine, juice, soda, and a fruit basket...and very nice touch. The internet worked very well, and there is a land line telephone in the apartment so friends and family can reach one if necessary, and one can dial out free of charge to Italian land lines too. Location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to St Peters, and only 10-15 minutes to Piazza Navona or Campo dei Fiori...very convenient to everything. I WILL be coming back to stay here when my travels take me up to Rome, I can't recommend it highly enough!!!

A friend and I enjoyed Marco's apartment which appeared brand new. We found it to be in a very nice area very close, as advertised, to st. Peters Square. Communications were good with Marco. My husband, 15 year old daughter and I stayed in this wonderful apartment for 12 days while visiting my son who is spending a college semester in Rome. We were met on arrival and given a tour, it was very clean, organized and had everything we could possibly need. The location was perfect! The beds were very comfortable, the WI-FI worked great and the area the apartment is located in is very safe and quiet. Marco called us during the week to check on us and make sure everything was ok. The next time my family and I go to Rome I will definitely contact Marco first. On more thing; on arrival we were greeted with a bowl of fresh fruit, orange juice, Pepsi, chocolate and cookies, it was a wonderful welcome gift. The apartment was better than described! Thank You Marco, you helped make our trip perfect.

Marco is a wonderful host. When we arrived Marco took the time to meet us and show his apartment. There was even a nice bottle of wine on the table for us. He was very responsive to all our questions and concerns. The apartment is located a short 15 minute walk to St Peters! The apartment itself is very nicely set up with everything you might need to cook yourself a meal, rest comfortably to be ready for your next days adventure! Located in a nice area with nice cafes and shops in the neighborhood. The only thing that might have made the apartment better would have been a living room or common space. When we return to Rome next year we hope we can stay at Marco and Stefania's apartment again.

Great apartment - great location - great hosts. As we arrived by taxi after a long trip from Canada, Stefania was there within 2 minutes to meet and greet us. Lovely person, all smiles. Even though her English was limited and our Italian was non-existent she was able to explain all there was needed to know about the apartment and the surrounding area attractions and conveniences. Very smooth transition. As mentioned it is in a great location. Very close to the Vatican which is a great starting point for wherever your exploration of Roma may take you. A Carrefour supermarket just up the street, gelateria, ristorante right around the corner. There is even a place right around the corner to make photocopies and send faxes which may not be required of most vacations but we had to :o) Unfortunately we did not get to meet Marco in person but he and Stefania were easy to get in touch with if needed. I recommend this apartment and would book it again myself. We were 4 adults and we were very comfortable. Oh yes great wi-fi !

been extremely helpful and went out of their way to help and assist us
during our stay. The apartment was very clean and tidy and the beds and

our way to the main tourist sites would have been helpful but we managed
by asking fellow bus travelers.

We stayed 5 pleasant days in Marco's apartment and were completely satisfied with our choice. Marco was prompt in communicating and gave a complete overview of the house, so we did not have to explore it ourselves. The apartment is perfectly clean and is more like hotel-style than private apartment. It has everything you might need for a comfortable stay and is perfectly located just few minutes walk from St. Peter's Basilica. It is close to bus stop from where you can get to Termini station. There are quite a few restaurants just around the corner, as well as nice small ice-cream store where you can enjoy all kinds of italian gelati. We loved our stay here and for sure would select this again.

My family and I stayed at Stefania's place in Rome for 3 nights. It was lovely! A short walk to St. Peter's, yet tucked away on a private street, we loved being able to go to the grocery store for snack, yet hop on the 64 bus to go to all the tourist destinations. The apartment has a nice grocery store, and restaurant, and gelato place very close by. There is a laundry on the block as well (but you don't need it, as there is a washer in apt). We stopped at all of them, and quite enjoyed the neighborhood. The apartment is in the basement level, which really helped from the summertime heat. There is a washer, a full kitchen of pots, pans, plates, glasses - everything you need to make meals at home, which we did several times! Thank you for being such a great host. Our group got a bit split up, and our american cell phones didn't work in Italy, so our host was gracious enough to meet up with us two times! thank you so much for that! All in all, this was a great stay. We were glad to be a little further away from the traditional tourist center, and very glad to have such gracious hosts.

This is a perfect location - a five minute walk from the Vatican. The apartment is private, clean, and comfortable with recently updated ammenities in a safe neighborhood. Restaurants are around the corner, and a full service super market is just 2 blocks south. We enjoy walking and so did not use public transportation to get to all major sites. Bus 64 is 50 yards from the front door and takes you straight to Termini Station. A taxi stand is 2 blocks away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay here again!

It was very nice to have a deal with Marco. He is very punctual, responsive man and help us when some question about Rome, transportation or other stuff arise. He was available at phone all the time i needed. He was waiting us at the street near the apartment at 21:00 and escort us to it. The flat is nice and clean. It just about 5 minute walk from Saint Peter's Basilica in quiet neighborhood with cute restaurants and shops. If you wanna go to center of Rome just buy tickets for the bus at Tabacchi shop and take 64 bus (the stop is 100m from flat) which goes to the Termini station. If you arrive to Rome to Fiumicino airport, i recommend you to buy train ticket (8 Euro) and do not take Leonardo express (which costs 14 euro and goes to Termini station), but take the other train (FR1 line). Than get out at Trastevere station and get to other train (FR3 line) at platform 6 (remember! 6 platform, cause i've spend about 10 minutes to find it out) going to San Pietro Station in opposite direction (2nd stop), and after this you will be 5 min walk from the flat. Anyway... everything was cool. Thanks Marco !!! Very nice experience !
